SOSUA MAINTAINED CALM, MERCHANTS OPEN ITS DOORS.

This morning the town of Sosúa looks completely calm, business as a small grocery stores remain open and teaching what is normally taught in private schools in the municipality.

The lyceum Gregorio Luperon opened recently in the area of Los Charamicos of Sosúa is not working, as we approach the Director consulted there, Lic. Rafael Peguero and informed us that this does not support the strike but it coincided with a date that had planned to teach classes on the use of computers to teachers and for this reason they are all grouped in a hall ready for such purposes.

The semi-desolate streets, traffic were significantly reduced and there is a strong police and military patrolling the main intersections of the city. So far it has not been reported any incident related to unemployment.

While the corporate entity said that while recognizing the right of people to protest and express their aspirations for better living conditions, but that this is not the best time to promote these actions because they are projected as mere electoral exercises.

Demonstrating once again that Sosúa is a city of well-being, especially we care that there is appropriate security for our people and especially our tourists feel safe and at home.
