Dominican Republic guest of honor in Berlin-2008
Within 60 days, the Dominican Republic will showcase its glory at the international meeting of the tourism sector in Berlin, Germany, to become the host of the XLIII edition of the Fair ITB-2008, which begins the fourth of next March. The ITB Berlin has continued its expansion and reaffirmed its position in the world and continues leading exhibition of the activity and tourism promotion in the world.
The ITB Berlin 08 main attraction will be the presentation of the country guest of honor for this edition: the Dominican Republic. The Secretary of Tourism of the country, Felix Jimenez, announced the news at the inauguration of the XI of the Caribbean Tourism Bourse (BTC) held in the capital Santo Domingo.
This year, the attention of the 170 countries participating in ITB will focus on stand of the Dominican Republic, which will have an area of about 500 square meters, added that the accreditation of five thousand journalists from all over the world, and the thousands Visitors who come to hear closing business projects and tourism. This year, the country will attend a delegation from the public and private sectors, led by the Secretary of Tourism, Felix Jimenez, and composed of representatives of hotel companies of various poles of the country, entrepreneurs, producers art, artists, artisans, chefs, directors of media, journalists specialized in economics and tourism, and television commentators, among others.
